More about Advent of Change

Brand new for 2018, Advent of Change is the revolutionary charity advent calendar.

Each door reveals a different donation to one of 24 incredible charities, spread across a number of causes, including children, animals, the third world, healthcare, refugees and the environment.

Each day represents a £1 donation and describes how that gift could be used to support each of the featured charities, from feeding the homeless to protecting our oceans.

Advent of Change began with one simple idea: to give the gift of giving at Christmas. And that small idea has already taken on a life of its own. Here at Advent of Change we have captured the imagination of so many people already, and we really do believe that this simple concept has the power to change the world. It was really important to me to ensure we included charities that would be personally meaningful to everybody, which is why we’ve worked hard to include organisations across a wide range of sectors. The response so far has been staggering and I can’t wait for the funds raised to start changing the lives of those who need it most. We are extremely proud to be representing these incredible charities.
Kristina Salceanu, Founder of Advent of Change

This innovative idea comes at a time when alternative advent calendars – for example, those containing beauty items, alcohol and food products – have experienced an astronomic rise in popularity. This, combined with the annual peak in charitable donations during November and December, perfectly positions Advent of Change to use the festive countdown to really make a positive impact.

Advent of Change retails at £27.95, and can be purchased from the Advent of Change website ( and in John Lewis & Partners shops and from 4th October 2018.

85% of the sale price will go directly to charity.

Advent of Change is made in the UK and has also been designed with the environment in mind, using FSC-certified paper, vegetable oil-based inks and biodegradable glues, and comes wrapped in a biodegradable potato starch film.
