Feedback from Global Giving’s site visit
In June, Global Giving sent one of their ‘in-the-field’ travellers to visit our team in West Bengal to get an insight into and report back on the work we are doing there. Joe and Chandrani took Adrija Ghosh to see some of the families who are benefiting from our poultry rearing programme, Poultry Development Services. Here is what Adrija wrote after her visit:
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Chandrani and Joe for their immense cooperation during the visit. In spite of the adverse climatic conditions, Chandrani took me out for the field visits and through discussions she had opened a new vision regarding the grass-root level work in rural areas. The work done by the organisation has amazed me. Its holistic approach towards development through women empowerment and by reducing migration of rural youth leads to both social and economic uplift of a place. Once again, thank you for such an enlightening experience.
