I have been supporting Shivia since 2014 and throughout this time I have been immensely proud to be involved with this team of dedicated individuals who focus on empowering the poorest families in India by providing them with the essential ingredients and tools they need to not just survive, but to improve their lives immeasurably. When I first heard about Shivia and the work they do I was immediately attracted to them and genuinely believe their concept of providing these tools and skills to the families that need them most can make a sustainable and life changing difference. I feel this is such an effective idea and concept as it is a gift for an improved life. Last year we held a joint charity evening at the House of Commons that was a huge success thanks to the hard work of both the Shivia and St. James’s Place teams and of course all of the generous supporters who managed to raise an incredible £40,000 on the night. Not only was it a great success but it was a celebration of the progress Shivia has made and as a result we are planning a similar event for this October that promises to be an even greater hit!
