Join the giving revolution this Christmas – SHIVIA is proud to be part of Advent of Change once again
We are pleased to announce that, once again, SHIVIA is part of a unique charity initiative for Christmas 2020, alongside 47 other charities. The feel-good festive range of Advent calendars and other products has been designed and produced by the non-profit social enterprise, Advent of Change, which pioneered the UK’s first advent calendar with a charity behind each door, and are being sold in partnership with John Lewis.
SHIVIA is featured in three products – the Premium Charity Advent Calendar, World Changer Wall Calendar 2021 and the brand-new Charity Christmas Crackers.
We are also delighted to let you know that all Advent of Change products are made from recyclable materials.

Premium Charity Advent Calendar
Beautifully updated for 2020 with an eye-catching design and new charity donations, Advent of Change’s flagship product is ready to brighten up the Christmas countdown once again.
We are proud to have been included in a brand-new product for this year and Advent of Change’s most requested product for 2020 – their set of six eco-friendly charity Christmas crackers allows people to donate while enjoying Christmas dinner. Each cracker contains one of 24 charity donations on a beautifully designed card bauble, a joke written by a renowned celebrity and, of course, a silver paper hat.
World Changer Wall Calendar 2021
The World Changer Wall Calendar, keeps the Advent of Change movement alive throughout the year by donating £1 per month to 12 charities, including Shivia. Each month also provides a challenge related to each charity, aimed at helping the user to make positive day-to-day changes that add a little extra kindness, sustainability and well-being to our everyday lives.

About Advent of Change
Advent of Change began with founder Kristina’s idea to reverse the consumerist nature of Christmas and bring back the giving spirit, but it quickly captured the imagination of many others.
The innovative social enterprise caught the attention of John Lewis and Partners, who will again be stocking the calendars in stores and online this year. Dan Cooper, Partner and Christmas, Gift Food & Experiences Buyer, said:
“In my role, I get to see some really interesting and exciting new products, but Advent of Change really stood out to me as an incredibly innovative way of giving back during the festive season.”
Advent of Change has also secured a number of exciting endorsements from household names such as Richard Branson, Joanna Lumley, Greg James, Lawrence Dallaglio and has even received an award from the Prime Minister for it’s outstanding contribution to charity and the community.
By the end of 2019, Advent of Change had raised £300,000 for its chosen charities, and after a particularly challenging year for the sector, its founder, 28-year- old Kristina Salceanu from Warwickshire, hopes to raise the same again this year for 48 amazing charities. She said:
