July 2021 marks a significant milestone for Shivia.
In 2011 we launched our ‘flagship’ programme – Poultry Development Services, delivering toolkits and training to women in rural West Bengal to enable them to start a small chicken farming enterprise from home.
Since then, our field team have delivered a staggering 100,000 toolkits, each containing 10 one-day old chicks.
Which means that we have delivered a total of ONE MILLION chicks!
